“Alternatives for People with Autism has been a great experience that has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I began as a Living Skills Instructor over two years ago, worked the last year as the Coordinator in South, and recently accepted the position of Manager in Little House. The initial experience helped me get accepted into a Master’s program in healthcare administration and the flexible schedule has allowed me to move through the program while working full time in a related field. The biggest thing I will take away from my APA experience is the memories and relationships with amazing residents (and staff) that I will cherish forever.” -Jacob Brehmer

Alternatives for People with Autism, Inc. (“Alternatives”) is a Minnesota nonprofit organization incorporated in 1980, which provides residential services for adults who are severely disabled by autism and developmental disabilities.

We take great pride in the services which are provided to our residents by carefully-screened, highly trained, enthusiastic staff members. If you are looking for interesting, meaningful employment, please click on Employment Opportunities.

Our program efforts are further supported by CappsDATA (Computer aided person-to-person services: Design, Administration, Tracking and Analysis), a highly developed, computer-aided process that supports direct-care services and dramatically alters and enhances the way in which services are designed, administered, tracked and analyzed.
